Full Tour Itinerary
Leaving Glasgow behind, our journey starts by skirting the scenic Campsie Fells to arrive at the shores of Loch Lomond, one of Scotland’s largest and most picturesque lochs.
Here, you can choose to join an optional one-hour cruise, sailing past wooded islands and taking in views of the “bonnie bonnie” banks. Alternatively, relax at Loch Lomond Shores, where cafés, shops and panoramic viewpoints make for a pleasant break.
The journey continues to the village of Aberfoyle, set within the heart of the Trossachs, a scenic region often described as “the Highlands in miniature” for its plentiful mix of lochs, forests and hills. This area is closely associated with the outlaw-turned-folk hero Rob Roy MacGregor.
In the afternoon, travel to Stirling, where you can visit the castle, dramatically perched on volcanic rock above the surrounding countryside. With time to discover its Grand Hall, Royal Palace, and fascinating exhibitions, you’ll discover the stories of Robert the Bruce, Mary, Queen of Scots, and the battles that have shaped Scotland’s past.
Alternatively, you can visit the Wallace Monument, which sits on Abbey Craig and offers panoramic views over the city. The monument tells the story of Sir William Wallace, the real Braveheart, and a famous Scottish freedom fighter.
After exploring Stirling, it’s a short drive back to Glasgow and the end of your tour.
