Full Tour Itinerary
The adventure starts with a drive from central Edinburgh, across the Firth of Forth and into the ancient Kingdom of Fife.
First, discover the picturesque village of Falkland, famously known as 1940s Inverness in Outlander. Admire its quaint cobbled lanes, 17th-century architecture, and the Bruce Fountain, where Frank first spotted Jamie’s ghost.
We then visit Doune Castle, or Castle Leoch to Outlander fans, a striking 14th-century fortress with ties to other productions like Game of Thrones and Monty Python. Next, delve into the grand French-style Callendar House in Falkirk, featured in Outlanderas the Duke of Sandringham’s kitchen.
Our journey continues to Midhope Castle -Jamie Fraser’s beloved Lallybroch- where you can walk the grounds and capture memorable photos. It’s not possible to visit Midhope; another exciting option will be arranged.
Our last visit of the day is to Hopetoun House, a masterpiece of Scottish baroque architecture that serves as the Duke of Sandringham’s lavish home. Oozing aristocratic grandeur, its expansive estate and ornate interiors are bound to impress.
After visiting Hopetoun, it’s a short drive back to Edinburgh and the end of this Outlander adventure.
