Full Tour Itinerary

Welcome aboard your Glasgow shore excursion from Greenock. On disembarkation from your ship, meet your Guide for a fantastic tour through the beautiful Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.

Our tour starts with a scenic drive towards Glasgow, then onwards through “Braveheart” country, where you will hear tales of our famous Scottish freedom fighters, Robert the Bruce and William Wallace.

The first visit is to the ancient city of Stirling, where you have the opportunity to visit Stirling Castle, one of the most famous castles in Scotland.

It was once the home of the Scottish Kings and Queens, so during your visit, you’ll get the chance to discover the Royal Palace, the Chapel Royal and the impressive Great Hall, where many State occasions took place.

Next, we travel into the natural beauty of The Trossachs, an area known as “the Highlands in miniature” and famed for its shimmering lochs and soaring mountain peaks. This is where the Highlands meet the Lowlands.

In the heart of the Trossachs, we’ll pause at Kilmahog—a lovely spot where you might get up close to some friendly Highland cattle.

We will break our journey in the pretty village of Aberfoyle, so you can enjoy a bite to eat and learn all about the great Scottish folk hero, Rob Roy MacGregor, at the local visitor centre.

Leaving Aberfoyle behind, we continue onwards through the National Park to reach Loch Lomond, known as the “Queen of all Scottish Lakes.”

We’ll spend time by the “bonnie, bonnie banks,” so you can enjoy a stroll to admire the views and see some of the many islands scattered across the loch. With towering mountains as a backdrop, it makes for a picture-postcard view!

Later, we return to Greenock across the Erskine Bridge, which offers magnificent views of the River Clyde and the ship-building town of Clydebank. It’s where the famous liner, Queen Mary, was built.
